ORGANIZATION "YOUNG TALENTS"

        The non-profit organization "Young Talents" is an organization that specialises in working with children from unprivileged social groups and ethnic minorities. The organization started its activities in 2001 in the town of Sliven, the main goals that our team of highly educated volunteers set to achieve, is the discovery of talented kids from different marginalized social groups and minorities. The main activities of "Young Talents" include courses in art, music and theatre, and giving children the chance to grow and liberate themselves from the grasp of their marginalized social environment.

        The principle guiding our work, is not only teaching our kids to play on different instruments or the art of painting, but to build their moral and strong values thus motivating them to work for a better future. The approach in achieving our goals for making our society a better place is unique, because it intertwines social work with various forms of art, giving its participants a different prospective and an innovative methodology.

        After careful consideration of the current situation in our main activities, we decided to expand our work with a new and innovative approach. The project that we wish to implement is directly targeting one community considered under the regulations of the Civil Society Development program. We are planning to develop our activities in the community of Kotel in the district of Sliven. We plan to add a new prospective to our work with this project, giving the opportunity for development to kids not only from Sliven but from other parts of the district. "The travelling art school" project is truly innovative and follows the social policies of other European Member States such as Belgium and Austria, where such activities are common. The principle of the travelling school was developed from the reality of the street. It is technically and pedagogically adapted to the social reality and aims to facilitate work with children and increase efficiency. The educational package that we propose is highly flexible and can be constantly improved with different topics. We are planning to organize courses in art and music for marginalized social groups and minorities in the target community. We believe that this initiative will be highly beneficial because it has the potential to become a national movement and bring more citizens to this just cause.
